The move to modern, less environmentally damaging systems is driving one of the largest sectors of the market and whilst inherently more ecologically viable, they are not without challenges.
All modern systems suffer from a continued build-up of smaller particles. This is common in all onshore sites and caused by not only the fish themselves but made more problematic by the large number of pumps which very effectively degrade larger particles to smaller ones.
By being able to constantly filter fish holding tanks, Flocell XFM filters are able to maintain an exceptionally clean water body with multi-pass filtration being able to capture particles smaller than 5μm at low cost reducing stress on other systems downstream.
